Simple Green Smoothie

1/2 cup water
1 - 1.5 ripe bananas
A fistful of spinach (or more, if you can handle it)
Cubed ice

Blend, starting with the banana(s) and water. Add more spinach to taste. A dollop of plain yogurt or replacing the water with milk will alter the consistency or flavor if you don't like how thin or strong-tasting it is.

Makes about 2 cups of liquid joy.

Yes, I drink this every morning as part of my second breakfast. And I am willing to testify by it; it makes me feel fresh. And to any spinach-suspicious out there: start with less spinach if you insist upon being prejudice, but if your banana is ripe enough, you'll hardly taste the greens at all. So load on the fiber and calcium while you can!
